The founder
Yann Usseglio
Private ambulance paramedic, working operationally with the emergency medical service, and first-aid trainer.
Over 10 years of field experience in ambulances. A trainer since the age of 18, on the PSC, SST, PSE 1/2 and BNSSA modules.
This dual field-and-teaching background shaped VitalX: a pragmatic tool built for the real constraints of classes and simulated interventions.
Our mission
Life-saving skills,within everyone's reach.
Provide a reliable, intuitive and affordable simulation tool to teach life-saving skills effectively. Traditional simulators are often out of reach; VitalX democratises simulation with a complete monitor built for the field and the classroom.
Less friction, more teaching, a controlled budget.
Mood images generated by AI, for illustration only.
Why VitalX?
Because the quality of training should not depend on a five-figure budget. VitalX was born from a real need: a credible simulation monitor, free of unnecessary complexity, adaptable to first-aid and professional training scenarios.
Journey
Our story
- January 2025The project is born
The project starts under the name Medical Scope, a very simple single-page web version.
- March 2025First line of code
SwiftUI development begins: app foundations, architecture and the Trainer ↔ Monitor session-code concept.
- June 2025Interface redesign
New design, improved readability, quick settings and Scenario Builder.
- August 2025AED & ECG modes
Arrival of the AED and 12-lead ECG modes: realistic alerts, waveforms and parameters.
- September 2025Dedicated hardware
Design of the 3D housing and choice of the carry case: a robust setup, ready for the field.
- October 2025Launch
Medical Scope becomes VitalX: official launch of the packs and first presentations.
- TodayAcceleration
Active roadmap, regular new features and scenarios. The goal: a simple, reliable and remarkably effective tool.
Our values
What guides us
Accessibility
A training monitor at a controlled cost, without cutting corners on the essentials.
Simplicity
A clear interface, scenarios that are quick to set up, an immediate learning curve.
Realism
Visual feedback and parameters faithful to real situations for useful immersion.
What we do
